Sledding and snow time

We ventured back out today in the snow. Our neighbor Natalie has been sledding down this tiny hill by our townhouse. The kids decided to give it a try. Not a big hill, but the right size for the kiddos.
I love the sheer joy you can see in Caitlyn's face.

Here is Caitlyn and Caleb loving it.

Chloe's turn. She lasted the longest and made it all the way to the bush at the bottom.

Caleb was chillin on the tube, big sissy Caitlyn decided to join him.

Daddy was giving them a push in the right direction, so they wouldn't take out the light pole.

My three little angels, snow angels here. They finally taught Caleb how to make a snow angel.

Caleb throwing a snowball at this sisters.

Daddy throwing a snowball at Caitlyn and thinking he was funny.

Caitlyn wasn't laughing as much. I love how this picture captures the snow.

Caitlyn looking as if she is up to something in this shot. I better take cover.

Such a big boy helping us to clean the cars off.

Well just a few more shots of the fun we have been having. Hope you enjoy.

Snow/Potty Time

Well since we have been cooped up in the house this weekend, we decided to start working with Caleb on potty training. It all started last week when he told me he had to go pee pee. We took him and he actually went. Then again earlier this week, he told me again. So we have started training him. Every time we have taken him, he has went. I am so excited. The girls never did this well. He has slept dry the last 2 nights and even took a nap today with his big boy pants on. Hopefully the success will continue and will be out of diapers and a little richer :) See Caleb with his spiderman pants on for the 1st time. Wow what a big boy. He looks so grown up.

It really did snow here in Wake Forest this weekend. We went out this morning and here are some pics.

We were all bundled up thanks to Aunt Amy for letting us use Julia's hand me down snow pants.

Caleb wasn't sure about getting off the porch. The snow was blowing in his face.

My beautiful daughter Chloe as a Spirit cheerleader.
Caitlyn with her dog emily. She had to accompany us to cheerleading as well.
Caleb with his cars which also went to cheerleading.
Not too much going on here. Dale finished his intensive Hebrew class and now his last semester has begun. We have talked with a few churches regarding after he graduates, but right now we are praying about where God leads us. Just remember us in prayer, regarding His will for where we will go.
Till next time,
Jill

Its that time again

Well we started back with Upward Cheerleading this past weekend. Chloe is part of the Spirit quad and has her games are at 11:00 am. That's a great time for us, because we are slow moving on Saturday mornings. She just loves being a part of it.

They get to do a little halftime routine before the devotion time. Here she is in action.

We are looking forward to another fun season with Upward. It really is an awesome program for the kids.

After her game we headed home to get ready for one of our dear friends daughter Madeline's birthday party. It was held at a local gymnastics place where Madeline takes classes. My girls were in heaven. All I was thinking was they didn't have these kind of parties when I was growing up. That's ok, us adults got to play as well :)
Here is Dale being a big kid himself with Caitlyn and Caleb. Pure joy in there faces.

Caitlyn was loving the trampoline thingy. She was dancing and jumping all over the place.

Here I am having fun with Chloe. That slide was so fast but fun.

They had this swing I think they called the Peter Pan swing. Each kid got to take a turn. My kids loved it. It was like they were flying through the air.
At first Caleb wasn't sure, but as soon as he started swinging through the air he had the biggest smile.

This was Chloe in action.

Caitlyn had no fear and enjoyed every second of it. They also had this rope swing you jumped on and swung across. Caitlyn was a little monkey swinging on it. It was so fun.

Here we are singing Happy Birthday to Madeline. Thanks to the Joyces' for inviting us and for having fun with us.
This was a random picture I took while we were at the Upward game. Caitlyn just seems to get more beautiful each day. I just loved this picture.

So that was our weekend, it was busy to say the least. But we all had fun. Dale is in the second week of his Hebrew class. So continue to keep him in your prayers. Hebrews = no fun in my house. One week left after this week. Yeah!!!

Christmas

On Christmas Eve, we went to a children's service at our church.. Caitlyn wanted to participate and so she was an angel. Chloe didn't want to this year.

Here is Caitlyn giving us her love sign, the heart.

Caitlyn, Caleb and Chloe preparing to open one gift on Christmas Eve. They were so excited. They all got new pajamas for Christmas and the girls had sleep masks with theirs. Who knew they would actually use them. How sweet.
Caitlyn received her little blue puppy and this cute little tea set and table for Christmas. Needless to say all the animals were having tea for breakfast on Christmas morning.
Caleb had gotten his new Thomas pajamas and blanket. He was so excited and happy to get them.
We left for Dales parents later in the day on Christmas day and a few days there.

My mom and dad had gotten Caleb a little basketball goal for Christmas. He is loving it and so is his daddy.
Caleb got a train table for Christmas that we found on craigslist for cheap (yeah!!) and then received some trains to go with it. He was loving it.

Cousins

Here is Caleb with his cousin Colleen. They had so much fun playing together. She about 7 months older than Caleb. Grandad is looking on.

Caleb and Colleen cheesin it up.
Caleb asleep on my dad. Isn't this such a cute picture? It looks like dad is about to fall asleep too.

More posts to come. Trying to catch up since it has been the holidays.

A winter wonderland

We went up to my parents in Augusta, West Virginia the weekend before Christmas to celebrate our family Christmas. We arrived Friday evening about 9pm and shortly after it began snowing. It kept snowing and snowing, pretty much all weekend. I loved it and so did the kids, at least to an extent. It was a lot of work bundling up 3 kids plus myself. My sister Amy got stuck in Mt Airy, NC so she never made it for the weekend. Instead she got to play in the snow with Ryan her step-son at a hotel. I think he thought it was the greatest, she maybe not. Here are some photos of the snow. Chloe, Caitlyn and myself. Can't you tell how excited Caitlyn was to be in the snow:)

Caleb was having a ball. He loved it.

Dale loving the snow. I think we both had enough snow that weekend to last a quite a while.

Caleb with the snow in his face.

Chloe actually surprised me and had fun in the snow. With little complaining of it freezing her hands.

I think Caitlyn had the right idea here. Inside where it was nice and warm and watching it snow from there.

Here is a picture at my sisters house and her car. I think we had about 24 inches when it was all said and done.

We exchanged presents, made cinnamon hard tack candy and just had a great time together as a family. Memories made!!
