A night away

Dale and I went out of town for the night this weekend. We had an awesome couple watch the kids and we went to Mooresville, NC. We stayed the night in a hotel with a king size bed (I loved it) and went on a dinner cruise on Lake Norman. The food was awesome and we had a blast. It was nice to just be the 2 of us even though I really missed the kids.
This is our boat that we were on, it was called The Catawba Queen. Dale and I on the boat. Here I am by the captains area.
We were being silly and taking pictures of ourselves. This one turned out pretty good.

The boat at night with all its lights lit up.
We had a great time and look forward to doing it again. I would definitely reccommend it to anyone. Well back to the grind, Caleb is crying :) and I love it!!
Thank you hunny for an amazing weekend.

Fun time on the Fourth

Today we had a busy day. We got up after actually getting to sleep in a little bit, then we cleaned the house. We had a couple of friends come over that we had went to college with and had lunch with them. After going to the store we went swimming and cooked hot dogs on the grill. Then finally we headed to Rolesville to see the fireworks and meet up with the Joyces. We had a blast.
Here is Dale with Caitlyn, Madeline, Chloe and Caleb
Caleb with his Thomas the train shirt on. He has just really started getting into him. Aunt Tricia bought him this outfit for his birthday. Here the girls are posing for their pictures of their outfits. Chris and Stephnie couldn't believe how they just would pose for me. I told them they have had many pics taken from their mommy. They are getting to be pros at this. Marlene, Dale's mom made her dress. I am going to attempt to get all 3 in their outfits made by grandma tomorrow. We'll see how that goes. It never works when I want it to.
Chloe sporting her outfit. We had a great time watching the fireworks. We got more smiles tonight than last. Super mommy remembered the ear plugs and all was well. Caitlyn said they were perfect fireworks cause they didn't hurt her ears. We got home surprisingly fast even with the traffic, only to be getting out of the car and realize Caitlyn didn't have her favorite rainbow flip flops on. She started crying instantly that we had to go back to Rolesville to get them. So Daddy took her back with a flashlight while I stayed at the house with Caleb who we put to bed and Chloe laid on the couch awaiting news on whether or not they found them. I got a call and at last Super daddy had found them. He said Caitlyn had the biggest smile and was crying because she was so happy. So that was how our day went. It was a great time spent with my family and I am so blessed. Thank you God for giving me my beautiful family.

Fourth of July Celebration with friends

These are just a few of the expressions on the kids faces last night as they watched the fireworks. They liked them, but to them they were a little loud. I forgot to take their ear plugs for them. In the end they had fun. These shots are PRICELESS.

Last night we went to the fireworks in Wake Forest. Once we got there we met the Pauleys there. So we sat with them and chilled until time for the fireworks. The kids had fun playing with each other. Here are the kiddos, cheesin for me.Chloe and Caitlyn are so funny. They were taking turns giving each other a back massage. I love it. I told her she could practice on me. She just laughed. It was funny face time. Look at Calebs face as he tries to mock Caitlyn. Daddy with his Chloe
While we were waiting for the fireworks there was music and a couple of times they had these paratroopers that jumped out of the plane and landed right on the football field in front of us. The girls and Caleb thought it was so neat. Here is a picture of one of them carrying the US flag.
I actually thought it was pretty neat myself.

Kindergarten Celebration

I have been so slack over the last couple of weeks so I need to do some catching up. Dale finished his summer class Greek II on Friday. I am so glad that he is done. Chloe finished kindergarten last Tuesday the 30th. On Monday we had her end of the year class celebration. Here are a few shots from her party day.

Ms. Stephens gave each of them a beach ball that had Chloe had a ball in kindergarten written on it. They then went around to each of the balls and signed their names on it. I thought it was a neat idea. Here is Chloe with one of her good friends Kensley.

Here is Mrs. Bobbit with Chloe and Ms. Stephens with Chloe.
Chloe has enjoyed having them as her teachers this year. I know she's gonna miss them.

Here is Chloe with her certificate.

Great job Chloe. She has been an outstanding student and has learned so much. She is excited to start 1st grade. We went to her meet the teacher night on Thursday and she will start school on Tuesday the 7th of July. She is in year round school if you haven't figured that out. She gets about 3 weeks off at the end of July and August, so that's really when her summer begins. We will be heading to the beach for a week then. Her teacher this year is Mrs. Andersen and her assistant is Mrs. Johnson.
