My kiddos

Today the kids were in a okay mood. All 3 at once that is. So I decided to try and get a Christmas type picture in front of the tree. I think I got a couple of good shots.

Caitlyn posing in front of the tree. Our kids love to pose.

Here is Caleb my little man. He has grown up so much in a year. They sure do grow fast.

Caitlyn and Caleb loving on each other. Caitlyn sang in a program at her preschool today. She did so well. She loves to sing and she does it so well.

We tried to get Smokey our cat in the picture. That was fun. Good thing she is laid back.
This picture turned out pretty well.

Tonight we did a family craft. We made little penguin ornaments. Each one made one and then I wrote their names and the year on them. They had a blast.
Well its been busy around here lately. Dale has finals this week,so he has been studying and doing lots of papers. We will be traveling to WV to see our parents over the next 2 weekends, so look for more pics to come from our travels. Hope you all have a wonderful CHRISTmas.

We are still here

I know it has been a while since I have updated and I am so sorry for that. It has been such a busy and crazy fall, but we are still here in Wake Forest, NC. Dale is scheduled to graduate in May so please be in prayer for us as we seek God's will for where and what it is he wants us to do. I have made a slideshow of pics so that you can see what we have been up to and how the kids are growing. Its kind of long, but I do hope you will watch. I plan to try to stay up on things over the next few weeks and months. Included in our pics is our trip to Washington DC to visit some of our friends we had met in SC. Enjoy!!!!

Back to Preschool

Well Caitlyn headed back to school at Wake CrossRoads Baptist Church last week. She has really enjoyed it and made some new friends already. I really think she is going to do well and she is loving Miss Jamie and Miss Neely as her teachers. Here she is with her book bag she decorated with her handprints.

Just outside her classroom. Little brother giving sissy as he calls her, a big hug.

This year she is in the Lions classroom.

The church had just finished with their new building this summer and it now houses the preschool as well. The classrooms are very nice.

Well I think I am caught up with what is happening here with the Myers'. I start a new study/serve at our church in the morning. I will be teaching the preschool kids during the second hour of service. A bunch of 4 and 5 year olds. I am excited to see what all they will teach me this semester. Dale returns from New Mexico tomorrow evening. He flew out to Albuquerque for a retirement ceremony for our dear friend Stan Frazier. I am sure he will make a post about it.

Labor Day Picnic

On Labor Day weekend we traveled up to my mom and dad in WV for a cookout at my Aunt Kim and Uncle Glenn's. I remember growing up and going every year. I always had a great time at them playing volleyball and whatever else we could get into. This year I was excited to know that I could go. We played volleyball and cornhole. We had a blast and boy my body sure felt it the next day. Funny it never bothered me 10 years ago when we played. The kids had a blast running around in the open country. They don't get to do this as much where we live now.
Here Chloe was taking a break on the blanket.

They have this huge tree in their yard which I remember being small when I was growing up. Caleb loved it. Dale put him in the branches and he thought it was the best. Don't worry everyone, we didn't just leave him sitting there. Dale is right beside him, just out of the picture.

Caleb just loved it. Here he is being a monkey.

The joy of swinging. Just look at how his face shows the excitement he had.

The girls don't seem as excited in this picture, but they were having fun.

Corolla Beach

Well it has been quite a while since I posted and I am so sorry for that. I really do not know where August and September have gone. So I am going to post a few different ones over the weekend. This one will have lots of pictures and a little long, but I didn't want to leave any of the pictures out. I hope you enjoy. This year we left on August 9th and went to Corolla Beach in Corolla, NC. It's part of the Outer Banks. My family rented a beach house for the week. We had lots of fun. Here is how we all felt by the end of the week. Caitlyn and Caleb show it well.

The kids love going to the beach and playing in the sand. Caitlyn had built a sandcastle and decorated it with seaweed.

Chloe was so excited to fly kites at the beach. I couldn't believe how easy it was to get the kite in the air. I had lots of fun as well.

Here are my little divas posing on the beach. They love to pose, can you tell.

Don't worry I haven't left Caleb out, he poses as well as the girls. It's so funny.

Here they are all playing in the sand together.

One of the days during the week, some of us went to the Wright Brothers Museum down in Kill Devil Hills. Dale went along with my mom and dad and Caitlyn and Caleb. Jamie, Brandon and I think Derek went as well. The picture below shows all their excitement. (they actually did like it)

Here is my dad(grandad) with Caitlyn and Caleb.

Isn't this the sweetest. They truly do love each other.

We went out to eat one night for seafood and out back of the place they had games to play. That way your wait doesn't seem as long, even though I think they had forgotten us. Here Caleb is working on his golf shot. Watch out Tiger Woods here I come.

We went to the Currituck Lighthouse and climbed to the top. I had carried Caleb all 268 steps I think to the top and my sister Tricia carried him down. He thought it was great, even though he was holding on for dear life.

This is a shot from the top of the lighthouse. If you look closely on the dock you can see Leroy with Ryan and Alex. Leroy has the white shirt on. They had went crabbing when we climbed the lighthouse. I zoomed in on them with my camera.

Here we all are at the top. We made it!!

I took a picture of mom(grandma) from the top. The girls thought that was funny.

Caitly definitely is like her father and doesn't like heights. She stayed right next to the back and would barely move. Chloe loved it and did great climbing up and down. Caitlyn did ok going up but coming down was scary to her. Dale carried her down.

This is when we first started climbing.

Amy and Tricia (my sisters) and Caitlyn starting out.

We had to wait in line for a little while before we got to climb. Perfect opportunity for a photo shoot.

The Currituck Lighthouse

Caleb loved playing on the beach with his little hot wheels. He takes them everywhere.

We went walking on some kind of trail, not sure the name of it. Caleb did great, but he was hot when we finished. All went well, except him falling off the little boardwalk. All was ok, he didn't get hurt Thank God. He just cried for a second and then was fine.

Chloe and Ryan playing the Leapster.

We went out on the beach 4WDriving. Doesn't Chloe look so beautiful in this picture. I love how the wind is blowing in her hair.

We went out and saw the wild horses on the beach. This was one of the highlights of our trip. We loved it. Look how they walked right up to Chloe. I had told her to stand still and then the water came in and it was COLD.

Here is Dale and Caleb by the horses.
This is some of the family.
A picture I took of the kids off the nature trail. They plopped down on this bench, and I noticed later they did so from youngest to oldest. How cool.
Caleb and Jay being silly with the fake teeth.
Well I know this post is long, but I hope you enjoyed catching just a glimpse of our vacation and the fun we had with my family. Stay tuned in the next day or so with some pics of the last couple weeks.
